David Price

David Price is a science communicator for science made simple and runs their branch in the North.

David completed his undergraduate studies at Liverpool University in History and American studies. BA (hons) 1988. After running a small business in the textiles industry David became an interactive exhibit builder for the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. Whilst at the museum David’s passion for science communication and joy at fostering curiosity around science subjects naturally led David to write and deliver science communication events. David then became the museums science outreach provider.

David has organised and presented numerous science events for schools, communities and families, working with organisations such as the BBC, Brainiac and Ecsite UK and has been responsible for presentation skill training for other staff. These posts have given David a great deal of experience in communicating with diverse audiences.

David now works for the science communication company ‘science made simple’ as Northwest science communicator. David is the Northwest regional convenor for the British Interactive Group.

I was very impressed by the way Ben and David exemplified for the group the skills they were helping us to develop and communicated a wealth of valuable practical tips in a short time; it was a refreshing encounter with talented professionals as well as a learning experience.
