Becky works as Projects Coordinator for Graphic Science where she is currently overseeing the Smarter UK project.

Before joining Graphic Science, she worked as Public Engagement Officer at BBSRC where she was responsible for coordinating exhibitions and events as a platform for scientists to interact with the public and other stakeholder groups.

Her work included developing and staffing an exhibition at BBC Gardner’s World, developing a hands-on science event for Edinburgh International Science Festival and helping university departments competing in BBSRC’s Excellence with Impact awards to produce exhibits that encapsulated their department’s work for a special awards event.

Prior to moving into science communication, she worked as a software developer producing computer aided learning and other material for the pharmaceutical and life sciences.

Becky has a BSc in Biochemistry and an MA in Animation.

The Royal Academy of Engineering is driven by four strategic challenges, one of which is to 'promote engineering at the heart of society'. We have worked successfully with The Training Group to provide public engagement training for our most promising young engineers so that they can be more effective ambassadors for the engineering profession.
