Becky works as Projects Coordinator for Graphic Science where she is currently overseeing the Smarter UK project.

Before joining Graphic Science, she worked as Public Engagement Officer at BBSRC where she was responsible for coordinating exhibitions and events as a platform for scientists to interact with the public and other stakeholder groups.

Her work included developing and staffing an exhibition at BBC Gardner’s World, developing a hands-on science event for Edinburgh International Science Festival and helping university departments competing in BBSRC’s Excellence with Impact awards to produce exhibits that encapsulated their department’s work for a special awards event.

Prior to moving into science communication, she worked as a software developer producing computer aided learning and other material for the pharmaceutical and life sciences.

Becky has a BSc in Biochemistry and an MA in Animation.

I was very impressed by the way Ben and David exemplified for the group the skills they were helping us to develop and communicated a wealth of valuable practical tips in a short time; it was a refreshing encounter with talented professionals as well as a learning experience.
